Skywind is a non-commercial, fan made modification for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that seeks to merge the amazing world of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind with the enhanced graphics and capabilities of Skyrim’s engine.  Skywind is currently NOT available for download. A release date and beta is not available yet. Skywind aims to have full functionality upon release equivalent to recent Elder Scrolls titles, as well as to expand by reintroducing critical elements from Morrowind that did not make it into Skyrim.

Here are a few work-in-progress samples from the original score of Skywind. All the music has been composed by various authors (credited below) and all music (and names) are subject to change. The Skywind project and its authors have the rights to these songs and are not available for use anywhere else, please respect our rights. A full soundtrack will be available at a later date. Enjoy!

With a community project such as this, progress often comes at an irregular rate and is hard to predict. Currently we have been experiencing a steady level of activity in several key sectors that has benefited the project immensely. When we have a release date in mind we will undoubtedly notify our fans via our youtube page here. If you would like to help with the development of Skywind we would love to have any qualified volunteers come on board! Please see our volunteer forum here if you believe you have the passion and aptitude to learn and help.

If you are interested in working on Skywind, please go to our  volunteer hub and read more about the process. We are always looking for dedicated members to help bring the world of Skywind to life.

We are not looking for any “talented 1337” skills. The most critical part of creating a game is endurance and time. To create something to its fullest extend you are working together as team. If you really want to help us to move forward and you can offer us your time we gladly expect your help. Additional skills are gladly appreciated but let me say this again – it is time, that will let us share happiness together.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Earlier this month, we marked the third anniversary of Skywind’s first working build. While everyone, as always, continues to look toward the ultimate completion of the project, sometimes it is important to step back and remember what came before, and to celebrate the hard work that enabled us to get this far. Therefore, in commemoration, I have compiled a brief history of Skywind.
